The inSight Mars lander 2 year mission is a NASA science program to study the deep interior of the red planet Mars. InSight stands for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations Geodesy and Heat Transport. Insight was launched on May 5 2018 aboard an Atlas V rocket with landing on November 26 on the Elysium Planitia area on the surface of Mars.
